The other day I saw a cartoon movie in 3d. This was the first time ever, and it was a blast. I was unsure as to what to expect, and did not think it was going to be as good as it was. As I purchased the ticket I was handed a pair of funky looking glasses. I immediately put them on and to my surprise they did nothing. It looked the same, I thought that it would make everything appear in 3D, but guess what, everything is already in 3D. So I ended up taking them off and then going to the theater. As I watched the previews for other movies I did not put them on, and then finally the movie started. I did not have my glasses on and the movie looked fuzzy. For a minute I thought that I was losing my eyesight, but then all I did was put my glasses on and the movie was in 3D. It was so awesome. Whoever made that movie was so creative and talented; it brings so much happiness to kids all over the world. The first scene that I watched there was this bouncing paddle ball toy that made it appear that the ball was right in front of my nose, I actually thought the ball was going to hit me. It looked so real. The movie was full of all kinds of neat things like this. I ate a bunch of movie snacks, luckily I took acceletrim to suppress my hunger so I did not eat that much. All in all it was a great time, and I highly recommend this to anyone who loves movies.

Though she began her television and movie career back in the early 1980’s, it was only when Christina Applegate bagged the role of Kelly Bundy in Married…With Children that her career began to take off.
Born in Hollywood, California on November 25, 1971, Christina’s first television appearance was via the daytime soap Days of Our Lives. She also came out in a Playtex T.V. commercial at 5 years old. Christina eventually went on to do a variety of roles as she got older. One of her most significant appearances was as the young Grace Kelly in the T.V.-movie of the same title.
Throughout the middle and early 80’s, Christina guested in several television shows including Charles in Charge, Amazing Stories, and Family Ties. She won the role of Kelly Bundy in 1987 and played the character for 10 years.
Eventually, Christina ventured into movies (Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, Mars Attacks!, The Big Hit, and The Sweetest Thing) and Broadway (Sweet Charity). Her T.V. guestings continued in shows like 21 Jumpstreet and Friends. At present, Christina’s television series, Samantha Who?, is gaining popularity.
Last August 2008, Christina, who actively supports cancer-related causes, was diagnosed with an early form of Breast Cancer. She is presently seeking treatment.
Interestingly, Christina is a co-founder of the group Pussycat Dolls.

The whole country is talking about the film Brokeback Mountain and it has created no small stir. On a Sunday morning TV editorial Charles Osgood pointed out that Hollywood is not tying to put forth a gay liberal agenda but rather are interested only in the bottom line - money. Although not inferred, it sounded like capturing the minds of adults or poisoning the minds of our youth was merely an incidental that happened on the way to the bank.
For over thirty years I have warned that it is not just what we see on films that can influence us. Each film has a philosophy attached to it whether it was intended or not. Sex, violence and profanity are blaringly obvious but subtle philosophies are not. Today the philosophies are becoming more blatant and are far less subtle. The race for box office cash is not all that fuels this raw open ended kind of expression in the film industry.
The mention of any kind of control (even self control) is met with cries of violated first amendment rights and the old freedom of expression hype. It may seem a bit over used but remains true nevertheless that Hollywood has never bothered to discern the difference between freedom and license.
A recent poll discovered that only one out of a thousand Americans knows all of the rights our constitution provides for them. On average the poll said that most people can name only one of our constitutional rights. Contrasted with that fact, it was discovered that the same people could name three or more of the characters in the TV animated sitcom, “The Simpsons.” The bottom line says that movie makers know what their rights are but the movie viewing public either doesn’t have a clue or they just don’t care.
Anyone who thinks TV and Movies don’t influence our society has to be living in another country. Yet even that is not true. Another poll recently discovered that one of the reasons that almost every major country in the world hates Americans is because of the film industry. All they know about America is what they see in the movies. Immorality, frivolous romance, rebellion, crime, gay cowboys and general mayhem is all they see. Any country trying to keep order and develop would naturally reject this kind of example and that is exactly what they do.
Could we get Hollywood’s attention on this, not so far but maybe we could catch them on the way to the bank and let them know. It is estimated that Americans will spend fifteen years on average of their entire lives watching TV and Movies. Perhaps it is not reasonable to think John Q television watching public is going to take any time out of their fifteen years to grab a few Hollywood producers on their way to the bank. Maybe they could protest a bit during the commercials which comprise about five of the fifteen years of their TV and movie watching lives.
Actors and others in the film industry are paid huge sums of money to do and say things most Americans don’t believe should ever be seen or uttered. Are they showing us our mind, or is art coaxing life rather than imitating it. I suppose when actors or thespians are offered small fortunes to behave and talk badly they must think they are living right. They too probably laugh all the way to the bank. Most Americans don’t act like actors but Hollywood can afford to make them act anyway they choose.
It all seems Ok if the end (the trip to the bank) seems to justify the means. Some Americans are a bit sick of Hollywood suggesting how to live instead of depicting how they actually live. The Bible isn’t sick of anything but has a lot to say about how sick human behavior can become. Perhaps it is best said by the bible regardless of whether Hollywood is listening or not. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

Plot points are linear links that make up the chain of traditional Aristotelian 3-act dramatic structure. This classic structure worked well in Hollywood for almost a century now. Although young movie makers are forcing the limits of this structure, plot points still rule the day as the “tent poles” that hold up of the circus of our dreams.

So the back and forth continues like a Maria Sharapova/Venus Williams tennis match (Yes these are the only womens tennis players I know of). We’ve learned today from arrow in the head that the new upcoming “Friday the 13th” film will officially be titled Friday the 13th The Legend. The film also will not be a prequel to or a remake of “Friday the 13th”, but rather will fit somewhere in the timeline between “Friday the 13th:Jason Takes Manhattan” and “Jason Goes To Hell:The Final Friday”. The scooper who informed AITH of this also gave them some more juicy bits about the upcoming new Jason movie. Read on below for more.
A Scooper tells AITH…
This past weekend, screenwriter Mark Wheaton turned in a ninety-six page draft regarding his plans for the newly announced Friday the 13th re-imagining. After spending much of my Saturday afternoon Xeroxing copies for studio heads (including producer Brad Fuller and the now-directing John Liebesman), I was able to take an hour break and skim through Jason’s newest slay-fest. Each day I’ll give you a “taste” of some of the more interesting sequences of the script, starting with the opening.
FIRST OFF: There is not a single reference to JASON X or FREDDY VS. JASON to be found within the story. Although the exact date for the sequence of events that are occurring is never mentioned, the film takes place somewhere between the events of JASON TAKES MANHATTAN and JASON GOES TO HELL.
This film, titled Friday the 13th: The Legend, opens in the style of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter with a group of just arrived Crystal Lake camp counselors sharing tales of the infamous Jason Voorhees among a campfire. I’m interested to see how this will play out, because they make reference to several of the more stand-out kills of the first eight films (i.e. sleeping bag pounding, wheelchair victim, cracking of the Sheriff in pt. 6) as wells as some of the “deaths” that Jason endured (particularly the butchering in pt. 4’s finale).
It sounds like New Line just wanted to do a back to basics, balls to the wall, new Jason flick set at Camp Crystal Lake. It also sounds like they are fully aware of how bad “Jason Takes Manhattan” and “Jason Goes to Hell” were and this might be some sort of attempt to make up for both movies. Either way, “Friday the 13th:The Legend” is expected out in 2007.
